Add questions and smart logic

4 min read

A good calculator only asks what matters. With the different question types and conditional logic you keep it short and relevant.

The question types

  • Single choice, multiple choice and dropdown for options.
  • Number and slider for quantities or area.
  • Yes/no for surcharges or options.
  • Short and long text for notes.
  • Photo upload so customers can send an image of the job.

Using steps

Group questions into steps to keep the form tidy. Visitors move through the steps like a short wizard, with the price always in view.

Conditional logic

With 'visible if' you only show a question when an earlier answer warrants it. If someone picks 'tree felling' you ask about height; for 'pruning' you skip it. You can combine conditions with AND/OR.

Validation and required fields

Mark questions as required and set minimum and maximum values for numbers. The builder warns you about common mistakes before you publish.
